BKS Iyengar is now in his mid 90s and one of the foremost teachers of Yoga in the world. His approach to Yoga focuses on postural alignment and incorporates a variety of props to enable students to achieve the bestpossible position in the asanas, so making it accessible to the stiffest person of any age. All the exercises are graded to ensure safe progression from complete beginner to competent yoga practitioner. Students work at their own pace and receive individual guidance.
Sue Hill has been practising Iyengar Yoga for over 30 years and is a full-time teacher, taking classes for all abilities and ages. She was awarded an
Intermediate level teaching certificate in 2006 and afterwards spent 3 years training to provide both individual/small group tuition and support in general classes to people with a range of physical or health conditions
In February 2010, Sue spent a month in India further developing her practice and teaching at the world-famous Ramanani Iyengar Yoga Institute.
She attended classes taught by Geeta Iyengar and PrashantIyengar and was able to observe BKS Iyengar himself practising and teaching.
